Bluetooth audio volume on Hub is pointless

prju68

There seem to be any number of questions on here about bluetooth none seem to get resolved other than the chap who sent his device back. But, I thought I would have a go.

My nest hub is connected to a bluetooth speaker. Spotify plays perfectly with reasonable volume if the hub is set to max volume.

However the hub itself is virtually inaudible so you get "playing ... on spotify" at very low volume and then spotify kicks in and takes over playing at sensible volume which I can control with the speakers controls.

I cannot find anyway to control this. but it pretty much renders the Hub as useless for anything other than playing music.

Any tips and suggestions gratefully received. I have tried the obvious turning off and on again. pairing and un-pairing the speakers.

Thanks

Hi prju68,

Thanks for posting and we appreciate you doing the reboot and unpair/re-pair of you Spotify account to Google Home app. It would help a lot if you could double-check the volume of your Nest Hub manually. If the screen is facing you, the volume bar is found on the right side at the back. You can also give a voice command to set volume to 8 or 9. If the issue persists, it would be best for us to factory reset your Nest Hub to its default and original settings. Set it back up afterwards.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Dan
