Bought a Nest Hub and it came with zh-tw instead of en-us. How can I fix?

I bought a new 2nd gen in a store when I installed, it works perfectly but has main language set to zh-tw.

I bought it in the US but threw away the receipt so can’t return.
How can it be updated to set to en -us locale?

Hi @the_xmorera,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I’m sorry to hear that you are having issues with changing the language in your Nest Hub to En-US; don’t worry, help is here.

Before we continue, I have some questions:

  • Have you tried to do a factory reset?
  • Is the Nest Hub linked to your Google Home account?

If the Nest Hub is linked to your Google Home account, you can try the steps below to change the language, as changing the language in the Google Assistant will affect all devices linked to your account, but this process may take up to 24 hours:

  1. On your mobile device, open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Settings, then go to Google Assistant and then Manage all Assistant settings.
  3. Tap Languages and then Choose languages for speaking to your Assistant and then select the current language set.
  4. Choose from the list of available languages.

For more information, you can take a look at the following article: Change the language of Google Assistant.

I’ll be waiting for your reply.

Best regards,

Derick.
