Super excited to share this.
My 1st GEN Google nest mini suddenly became unresponsive one random day.
When unplugged (10 sec) and then plugged back in, two white lights display, followed by four white lights, then back to unresponsive.
Factory reset attempt would display a single green light when pushing the button on the back and nothing else, regardless of length of time holding down the button.
I successfully fix this, here’s how I did it.
1. My mic was in the on position.
2. Follow Google steps to factory reset your device by unplugging (10 sec) plug back in, repeat 10 times.
3. Before plugging the device back in for the final time, PRESS AND HOLD THE FACTORY RESET BUTTON, plug in your device.
*** Do not release the reset button until you hear the device say “Welcome to Google Home” ***
I nearly fell out of my chair when I heard it respond like it’s supposed to!!
