Broadcast Voice Clip Doesnt Play

Ginlee2881

Hi. I use broadcast messages very frequently. When my kids respond, I used to be able to hear the voice clip. Now, I press the play button of the voice clip and nothing happens. I can only read the transcription but the broadcast reply clip doesn't play. This is very annoying. Can you please help?

Hi Ginlee2881,

Thanks for reaching out.

Sorry to hear about what you're experiencing right now. Let's go ahead and sort things out by answering these questions:

  • When did it start to happen?
  • What Google Nest speakers are affected? How many are affected?
  • What are the distance between each speakers and the router?

If you haven't tried any steps yet, let's perform a reboot on both Google Nest speakers and router simply by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes and let's test if that will fix the issue.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Princess

Your solution is not working and unrelated. My issue is my phone can't play the voice when my daughter replied my broadcast to the nest hub.

Hi Ginlee2881,

Thanks for clarifying. Can you tell us what phone are you using? If everything is working good with your Google Nest Hub, you can try checking some settings on your phone and test it out when you try to broadcast from your Google Nest Hub.

Princess

Hi Ginlee2881,

Thanks for responding. Can you check also the Android version of your phone? Also, it would be best for you to try on a different phone to isolate the issue.
