Broadcast feature of Google home does everything except say the words I want to broadcast

I say, "Hey Google Broadcast," and the Google speaker asks for the message. It then tells me it will broadcast the messages. Each device does the announcement beep. Then, nothing. There is no message.

All speakers are on the same network. The do not disturb feature is off.  We do note use Gemimi at Google home. I've rebooted all devices. This feature worked great for years but stopped working a few months ago. We miss the feature dearly.

I have been having the same problem lately!

Same issue. I've created automations that will broadcast TTS generated announcements. Lately they don't work, my speakers are just beeping as if broadcasting something. I've rebooted all my devices and even my network.

I use a variety of Google Home devices: Nest Mini Gen2, Nest Audio, Nest Hub, and even the Xiaomi Google smart speaker - none of them worked when using an automated broadcast message.

The Problem exists a year ago. Then i works again and now nothing.

So its Time to change my System. Google will be more and more crap.

This Feature was the most useful and now nothing is working.

I think its Time to change to Alexa and put Google in the Trashcan.

Update- my broadcast system started randomly working again.  After weeks/months of no luck with rebooting, etc,   it just decided to work again...IDK!
