Broadcast reply clip

I used to be able to hear my kids reply to my broadcast. Now the play button dorsnt work a d all I can do is read their reply.

Hey immike01psu,

 

Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on.

 

A few questions: are your kids broadcasting from your Google Nest speakers to your phone? When did it start happening? Make sure your devices are signed in to the same Google Account. 

 

Try uninstalling and reinstalling your Google Home and Google Assistant app. Rebooting your devices might help too.

Yes, they are replying from home on one of the speakers or our Nest home and the reply is going to my phone.  That's the screenshot from my phone I posted above.  The reply has a play button and it used to play their audio reply right on my phone.  But now when I hit that play button, nothing happens whatsoever.

Thanks for the update. Have you tried uninstalling your apps? Can they still hear your broadcast when you initiate it from your phone? Also, try checking if there's an available system update on your phone.

Sorry, the whole fam just came down with Covid.  We evaded for 2.5 years but it finally got us.  I haven't been able to attend to this yet.  As soon as I do I will certainly reply.  Just didn't want you to think I'm ignoring.
