Broadcast requires Domain Admin

So, it's been a year and Google Mini and other Google Home devices still claim you need permission from the domain admin to use the broadcast feature. It would be nice if there was actually a permission which could be set to allow this feature so I can continue to use my grandfathered Google Workspace account rather than switching to Gmail.

Hi dsteketee,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us.

I appreciate you sharing your concern regarding the persistent Domain Admin requirement for the broadcast feature on your Google Nest and Home devices. I understand this situation has persisted for approximately one year, and your preference is for a configurable permission setting within your grandfathered Google Workspace account, thereby avoiding a migration to Gmail. I'd be glad to share more details.

However, based on the currently available settings for Google Nest and Home devices, I found that the broadcast feature is no longer available.

Please consider sharing your thoughts directly with our development team through this feedback form. Your input will help us prioritize features and ensure that we're meeting the needs of our diverse user base.

Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.

Best regards,

Virna

I just wanted to thank you for the useless reply. This feature is clearly documented in support articles with no indication that the feature is no longer available. The issue is with Google Workspace accounts.
