Ok, so this morning my Google device stopped doing what it used to do when I use the broadcast command. I used to say broadcast and then would say my message in French, Google was able to detect this was french and would just play my voice to the other speakers in my house. Now, the assistant seems to be listening to my message and then considers it is English and says with its own voice similar English sounding words. I tried then to use the "transmettre" function (french for broadcast) and there it picks up my sentence correctly but does not voice my voice but the assistant'd voice instead. I'm in a bilingual household (sometimes we speak French or English) so for me this is a regression. Used to work better.

I'm guessing this is part of the defect that many of us have started encountering recently, where Google Nest no longer broadcasts our own voice, but instead tries to transcribe it and then broadcast it in a Google Assistant voice.
Google Nest calls this defect a "feature". On another post (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Spoken-broadcast-message-changed-to-spo...), Google Nest says "Currently, we don’t have the option to turn this feature off."

That would be part of the issue. The other is that it no longer seems to support multilingual broadcasting using the same "broadcast" command
