Broadcasting with only 1 nest device

JonathanLHW
Community Member

I want to broadcast a message back to the same speaker as part of a routine. I want my nest to say "remember to stretch" as a morning routine. But it seems i need more than 1 device?? It doesn't make sense my nest keeps saying "no other speakers connected on this network". If it can give that error message why can't it read out the sentence i set for it to read?

You don’t need more than one speaker to achieve this, and you can use the routines feature.

1. Open the Google Home app.

2. Tap Routines.

3. Tap the + icon at the bottom right.

4. Choose whether you want it to be a household or personal routine.

5. Tap Add starter.

6. Tap At a specific time, choose your desired settings, then tap Add starter.

7. Tap Add action.

8. Tap Communicate and announce.

9. Check Make an announcement.

10. Type your message, then tap the tick at the top right.

11. Tap Done.

12. Tap Save.
