By The Way, I Didn't Ask

How do I disable this?  When I'm trying to do something quickly like turn off a fan and then get back to my meeting it launches into some weird rambling "by the way, did you know.....".  Having to mute myself and yell for it to stop has me looking for something different now... please help.

I threw my Nest Hub Max in the trash... I just picked it up, unplugged it and dropped it in the trash.  Last night it decided to ignore the routine and ask when I wanted to set an alarm instead.  Then after fighting and explicitly saying "Run the routine x" it did it, but began playing cricket sounds afterward....

I'm done with home automation that doesn't do what I ask and tries to throw in "extra" bs.  I'll just make my own with Home Assistant and a Raspberry PI.
