Can quick gestures work in Google Nest Hub 2nd gen?

I tried 2 of Google Nest Hub for quick gestures (air tapping in front of the display) to pause music it does not work. Isn't quick gestures available on Google Nest Hub 2nd gen? Can someone let me know please?

Thank you for reaching out. No worries, let's look for a solution together for your Google Nest Hub to have these features working. First, I have some questions.

  • Which country are you located in? 
    • At this time, the Google Nest Hub (2nd gen.) features only work in released countries. This includes: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States (except for Puerto Rico)
  • Is this a new issue? Were your motion sense features working on your device before?
  • Have you taken any troubleshooting steps? If so what have you tried?

In the meantime, here is some information about the Quick Gestures feature. Just a friendly reminder, your Motion Sense needs to be turned on.

Tap the air in front of your display to:                                                                   

  • Pause and resume media
  • Stop Google Assistant from talking

Nest Hub (2nd gen) pause media gesture

Wave your hand in front of your display to:                                                          

  • Dismiss timers
  • Snooze alarms

Nest Hub (2nd gen) snooze alarm gesture
