Can't add Google Nest Doorbell to Google Nest Hub Max

I have Google Nest Doorbell (battery) installed and added to Google Home on my phone and my wife's phone. She also has a Google Nest Hub, but the doorbell does not show up on the hub and I can't see a way to add it. Also, the doorbell has Visitor Announcements enabled on both our phones, but there is no ding dong when someone presses the doorbell button, just a push notification.

Are your Nest Hub Max and your battery doorbell in the same Google Nest "home/structure" in the Google Home app?

Also, with the 2nd gen doorbells, there is no "ding-dong" sound on mobile devices, just a notification sound; the "Visitor announcements" option enables a "ding-dong" sound and an oral "Someone's at the front door" announcement on your Nest Hubs along with displaying the doorbell's camera.
