I want to cast audio from youtube app on my iphone to my Nest Audio speaker. I can do it if I'm using youtube music app. But not with regular youtube app. Yes, my phone and the speaker are using the same wi-fi network. And I don't want to use Bluetooth. I'm asking about casting specifically, when the speaker is getting audio directly through wi-fi. When I tap casting button on youtube app, the speaker is not there. But it is there, if I tap casting button on youtube music app. Please help. Is it possible at all?

Hi Gasolgasol,
Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry that you're having trouble casting your audio from the YouTube app to the Google Nest Audio Speaker. I understand how frustrating this can be. I'm here to help.
Before I begin, I need to ask a few questions for further assistance:
When did this issue start?
What type of phone are you using? Android or iOS?
Have you tried to cast audio from another app different from YouTube Music?
If you're using an Android device, you can cast audio using these steps:
Here's how to cast audio from your Android device:
Same Network/Account: Make sure your Android phone or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your speaker or display, or that both devices are linked to the same Google account.
Open Google Home App: Open the Google Home app on your Android device.
Select Device: Tap "Favorites" or "Devices," then select the speaker or display you want to cast to.
Cast Audio: Tap "Cast my audio."
Play Audio: Start playing the audio content you want to listen to.
Currently, iOS devices don't support direct audio casting in this way due to platform restrictions. The YouTube app itself primarily streams video content, and its casting functionality is designed for video playback, which is why your speaker isn't detected when you tap the cast button.
Please keep me posted. I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Kevin
