I can't cast songs classed as explicit from YouTube music to my Google Home. I have checked settings for everything but there are no restrictions on YouTube or the speaker. Please help.

I had the same problem on my nest mini. I did a factory reset on it and that fixed it.

Hi. I did a factory reset which initially worked, now the issue has returned. Any other advise? Thanks

Hey KH4,
Apologize for the delays. To confirm, is it happening to all explicit songs that you've tried? Please provide the title of the songs so we can try it on our end. Also, is there a filter set on the music app?
Keeps me posted.
Cheers,
Muddi

Hi.
Yes it's happening to all explicit songs. Kanye West Allot the Lights is an example. Definitely no filters, have checked and rechecked. Thanks

Hey KH4,
Sorry for the late response. Could you give us at least three titles of explicit songs that are still playing on your speaker? Also, does the same thing happen when you use the Google Assistant app on your phone?
I'll wait for your reply.
Cheers,
Muddi

Hi.
No explicit songs will play on the speaker. It's any with an E against them. I can't seem to get songs to play via Google assistant on my device, but there are no restrictions on in the settings. Thanks

Hey KH4,
My apologies for the delays. Thanks for trying - looks like an issue with the Google Assistant itself. Please replicate the issue and send feedback via voice command on the Assistant app on phone by saying, "Hey Google, feedback," and a brief description about the issue. Visit this link to know more. This will forward the information to the right team, and will be able to check the issue.
Cheers,
Muddi

Have to say I'm also getting this issue. I do have a family account which has my child on it, so I'm not sure whether that is related?

Just seen a response on Reddit that if you ask your Google Speaker to play the song, it'll play, and then when you cast any further songs, it magically works. Just tried it myself and huzzah, I have explicit songs again
