Can't enable a sound after “Hey Google” with both my iOS and Android device

I followed the iOS and Android instructions on:

For me it's not working on both iOS and Android.

On iOS (iPhone 14 Pro / 16.4.1) the Preferences Screen doesn't load properly and stays empty.

On Android (Samsung Galaxys S22 / Android 13) the Preferences icon is not even available on the devices screen in the Home App.

Has anyone experienced the same?

Hi Stidch,

 

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made?

 

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first: 

 

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

 

If the issue persists, you can revert your Nest devices to its original settings by doing a factory reset and setting it up again. Depending on your devices, follow the steps in this link.
