Why is it when I say “hey Google, turn on my bathroom light” and viola the light comes on but then, and here’s my issue, Google then says “bathroom lights turned on” or some verbiage to that effect which is pointless and redundant. My Amazon Alexa when given the same command simply has a “ding chime “ sound saying it’s gotten the command and the lights come on and no further talk is given. Please tell me I can somehow set my Google mini or display to an option that once a command is given and done that I don’t need the device to tell me what I already know.

Hi Rongauvin68,
This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? Are your devices in the same room physically? Are they in the same room name on your Google Home app or different?
It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:
Once done, you can check their room location. If they are in the same room, then a ding chime should be the response. If they’re in different rooms, what you’re experiencing is working as intended in which it will inform you on what lights are turned on. You can have your device set in the same room to have the ding chime.
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Dan

Hi there,
I don't want to be a nudge, but I'd like to check if you were able to get your device working. Feel free to reach back if you still need help.
Cheers,
