Can't find setup code

At some point my Nest Hub (2nd Gen) disconnected from my Pixel 9 Pro and I am unable to get them back by using add a device. I cannot find an 8 digit code on my hub or in the packaging which I still have. I see a 14 digit code engraved on the bottom of the device, which matches a sticker on the box, but there are no 8 digit codes. I can type in part of the code and it triggers the setup and connects them via bluetooth but it never stops and completes setup. 
I'm trying to avoid factory restart because I don't want to do that every time the power goes out and it seems that there should be a code that I am just not finding?

Where/how can I find my 8 digit setup code? The number engraved into my device is 14 numbers. There is no QR code or sticker with a QR code on my device or the packaging it came with.

I completely understand why you’re hesitant to perform a factory restart, no one wants to deal with a full reconfiguration every time the power goes away. No worries; I'm here to help you.

Since the device is currently stuck in a 'half-connected' state with your Pixel 9 Pro, performing a Factory reset is actually the only way to force the Hub to generate a new setup code or QR code on the screen. The good news is that once a clean connection is established, your Hub is designed to automatically reconnect after power outages without needing a reset every time.
