Can't play NPR station KQED

Hi - I've had the same problem for 6 months - and I've tried resetting the device. When I try to stream any of several favorite radio stations I get a message "Streaming KQED" (or BBC Radio 4) and then "There was a problem with that. Please try again later."

Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a problem? I tried adding the stations to Google Home, but the only option is a Sirius subscription. (Which I don't want.)

Any help greatly appreciated!

Cheers, Elisa

Hello SFElisaW,

Thanks for your reply.

These radio stations should be working as expected, so it can be a bit confusing if you still get the same error after a simple reboot. You can also try following this article on how to Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays, and see if that allows you to listen to these radios again. Please note that performing a factory reset will delete any data currently on your Nest Hub, so make sure you back up anything important.

However, if you perform a factory reset and it still doesn't work, please feel free to fill out this form. My team would like to investigate further by reaching out to you via email, so we can gather more information and determine the best course of action.

Let me know once you've filled out the form, and I'll keep an eye out for your response so my team can reach out to you as soon as possible.

Regards,
Angel.

Hello SFElisaW,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

It can be disappointing when your favorite radio stations are out of reach, but it's okay, let's see what's going on.

I want to know which specific radio stations are giving you this message. Is it only KQED and BBC Radio 4, or have you noticed this with any other stations?

Please try playing these radio stations by asking Google Assistant in a different way. You can try asking for them by frequency, for example. Feel free to follow this article on how to reboot your Google Nest or Home speaker or display as well. After performing a reset, make sure your speaker is close enough to the router and doesn't have any interference that could prevent it from connecting to the internet properly.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Angel.

Yes, I have tried rebooting. Three times. Leaving it off for hours. And I have tried a dozen radio stations. Each time it confirms the request: "Streaming KQED radio" or "Streaming the BBC" and then it says. "There was a problem. Try again later.

Any other suggestions?

I thought I only needed to unplug it - I tried the full reboot by turning side button off and it worked!!! Thanks so much!
