Google can’t seem to differentiate between “stop the timer currently going off” and “stop all timers”. Multiple times I have stopped a timer actively going off, only to find out Google cancelled ALL my timers, even if I specify “stop this timer” or “stop the timer going off.” I know I can stop specific timers if I named them, but if I forget to, I’m SOL! Is there a certain thing I should say to stop ONLY the timer actively going off? Will there ever be a fix for this? I remember that when we first got our Google Home, we did NOT have this problem, and only saying “stop all timers” would end all the timers.

Hey LFinegold-Sachs,
Checking back in if the suggested commands or touch works in stopping your timer?
Best,
Alex

Hey LFinegold-Sachs,
“Stop” you can stop a ringing timer from any linked speaker or display, even if it’s not the one that they used to set the timer. If it’s the same device that you used to set the timer, you don’t need to say “Okay Google”, just say “Stop”. (English language only)
You can also stop the timer through touch:
Thanks,
Alex

Oh, yeah. The stop command did work. It’s unintuitive, but I can learn to just say “stop” instead.
