I have two hub maxes, and two google outdoor Nest cameras. I can view my cameras by asking Google to "Show the driveway" or "Show the yard cam". I cannot use the talk & listen feature as it appears to be unsupported on the hub max (that's pretty inconvenient), but more of an annoyance is no verbal command will stop the stream and return me to the home screen. Just a simple "Stop" or "Stop the [camera name]" always results in Google responding by asking which device I want to control, offering all of my lights and smart TVs, but not offering to stop the camera stream. The only recourse is to swipe the screen, most annoying. Any solution?

Yeah, Google seems to be unaware that it is streaming one of our cameras on a Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max, But "Hey, Google, return to the previous screen" works for us.

Hey folks,
I’m sorry for the trouble this has caused you, let me help you out.
Could you please try using this command "Ok Google" or "Hey Google" Stop [display device name]"?
Note:
The wired Nest cameras should stream live video for up to 4 hours. If your Nest camera or doorbell is on battery power, it can only stream for up to 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, the customer needs to reactivate the live stream in the app to continue with the stream.
Google doesn't have any information about the stream duration for third-party cameras.
Thanks,
Alex

Telling Google to "stop [display device name]" results in the response "Alright, turning off Roku Living Room TV" or "Bedroom TV". How useful is that? when I refuse it offers "Here are other things you can try..." , none of which relate to any of my cameras or displays, nor any lights or plugs that all work seamlessly otherwise. I do not have any third party cameras but have four Google cams: two Max displays, and two outdoor cameras, a gen 1 and a gen 2 which means that when I factor in the two Nest Protect smoke & CO alarms I also have, I need to use two (count 'em) TWO applications that don't talk to each other to monitor devices that I paid good money for to a company that I trusted and that is turning out to be a big mistake. And yes, I subscribe to Nest Aware, which considering the difficulties of the technologies, has an acceptable amount of error.

OK, so I deleted all of my Roku devices and now when I say "Hey Google stop the [display device name] it responds "Sorry, I do not know how to help with that, here are some other things you can try..." none of which are even closely related. I deeply regret investing in the Google thing, but I was a dot.com developer guy and Google was a promising trajectory back in the 90's but it seems has become bloated and fails.

If you are streaming one of your Google Nest cameras on a Nest Hub, saying "Hey Google, stop xxxxx camera" will simply NOT stop streaming the camera stream. Google Support should know this. But saying "Hey Google, return to the previous screen" does work. Whether this is Google Nest's design or not, that is how it works on all of our Nest Hubs.

Thanks so much for your response. For what it's worth, all I need to say is "Hey Google, return".

I did not reply to this as a "solution" because it is unintuitive

Do you know hot to reactivate the stream after 5 min? Automatically? I need to monitor my dog, he is pretty sick and so I don't want every 5 min to ask Google to stream the camera on the hub max. I tried with iftt but i cannot find any command... Do you have any tips??
