Cannot connect Google Calendar or Hangouts to Google Nest Hub Max

Philby54

When I try to access the calendar on my Google Next Hub Max it tells me I have to have my Google workspace administrator give me permission.  However when I get into the workspace administrator all of my permissions are on for just about everything and I still cannot connect the Calendar or Google Meet or Duo to the Google nest hub max.

Instructions on Google do not seem to identify what to do.

Help!

Hey Philby54,

Thanks for reaching out and we know how important this is for you.

While you can use Google Calendar on your Google Nest Hub Max, this excludes the unsupported Google Calendars listed below. We're always looking for ways to add more supported calendars on Google Nest devices.

  • Other Google Calendars —  Birthday, weather, and holiday calendars.
  • Google Workspace Calendars (formerly G Suite) – Calendars created from a Google Workspace domain.
  • Imported calendars — Calendars imported from URLs and iCal (for iOS users) calendars.
  • Calendars that don’t have read or write access to events. For example, a calendar with only free or busy information.

Best,

Alex

Hey there,

How's it going with your Nest Hub Max? Did the information above answer your questions?

No.  I still cannot  authorized Google Calendar, Duo or Google Hangouts on my Nest Hub Max.  I have tried every authorization I could find on Google Assistant and still no success.  It still tells me I need to have Google Assistant give me permission...

Hey Philby54,

If you're using a business or work account, it may or may not work. Some Google Assistant features will be restricted because of some settings on your account. Even if permission is already enabled on your account, some features may still not work. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Best,

Alex
