Cannot connect to cloud

Karroola
Community Member

I have 5 google speakers.

2 x nest hub, a google home speaker, a mini gen 1 and nest mini 2

the nest mini gen 2 was working perfectly until it dropped off the network. I reset the speaker and while it works it will not connect to any groups the error is “PROBLEM CONNECTING TO CLOUD” Try again later.

this has now persisted for weeks and I did see a tread noting a similar issue from 2021

Hi Karroola,

This is not the experience we want you to have; let us help you. A few questions:when did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first by:

  1. Unplug the power cord from your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

You can also try to factory reset one of your Nest devices to see if that works. Click this link to learn how to do a factory reset.

If the concern persists, try the steps below:

  1. Make sure that the Google Assistant App and Google App are both installed and updated on your phone using the same email address as your Google Home app.
  2. Forget Wi-Fi on your iPhone.
  3. Turn on airplane mode.
  4. Reboot your phone and Google Home devices.
  5. Once the phone is back on and still in airplane mode, connect to Wi-Fi.
  6. Proceed with the setup.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Kimy
