Hello, I created a personal playlist back during the dark days of COVID to help our youngest daughter fall asleep. She still uses this playlist 4 years later and it normally works like a charm. The playlist is just the same peaceful track repeated several times while she drifts off to sleep.
Recently, her Google home mini will play pretty much any other random playlist when we speak to the assistant. In the past, we sometimes had to repeat the request to get the right playlist to play, but now it no longer plays it at all and plays something else random.
I don't understand at all what's happened. We haven't changed anything in our hardware nor software. We can cast the playlist from my phone to the device, but it seems crazy that the device can't seem to understand the request anymore when we speak to it. I've tried renaming to other things and it can't play any name we've come up with.

The device can still tell us the weather and responds to other voice prompts ok as far as I can tell. I switched it with another mini and the other one is having the same problem playing any playlist we request.
I'm not aware if they had a software update. All of our mini devices are several years old so I'm assuming software gets updated periodically. I will try a hardware reset and let you know if things improve.

I found a solution that seems to have worked. I simply created a brand new playlist and gave it a different name and our Google devices were able to play it including the Google Home Mini in our child's room.
We are using the YouTube Music app and have a family premium subscription.
I have no idea why the devices in our home stopped being able to play that one playlist, but as soon as I created new playlist (populated with the same content as the original), we were able to get the job done.

I have faced the same issue and this solution was the only thing that worked—duplicate the playlist.
THANK YOU.
