Cannot remove nest hub max from home

curtisrettig

This device (nest hub max) shut down one day and was not connected. I did a factory reset. Now if I try to add it to my home network, it refuses because it says I must remove this device from another home network. When I go to the device in the network (the one I am trying to add it to) I cannot remove it because it says it is not availabe. Thus, I cannot add it to any network (I have tried creating an entirely new home) and I cannot remove it from the old network. So, I have this 200 dollar device that can do nothing.
Please advise how to remove this from an old network if it is no longer reachable, that is connected.

Please, please, please help.

Hey curtisrettig,

Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. My apologies for the late response.

I know how challenging it can be not having a working device when needed. A few questions: are you setting up your device using the same account? How many home structures do you have? How many accounts are linked on the Google Home app?

Please try these steps below:

  1. Go to this link, then make sure to log in to the same account used to set up your Google Nest Hub Max.
  2. Once you see your Nest Hub Max, press on the three dots on the upper left corner to remove it.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi
