Cant make calls from Next hub max to my phone

I set up my new Google Next hub (2nd Gen) with my email account and phone number but when i call it from the hub max, my phone will not ring. if i login to the Google Meet app it will say that i have a missed call. All notifications are on on my phone and i have tried resetting everything multiple times. My phone is an Iphone 14 Pro Max and is new as of 2 months ago. I have read several other threads on this and there appears to be no good answer. Has there been any resolution?

I live in the United States. It makes calls to everyone else just fine. It essentially thinks that I am calling myself so it won’t ring on my phone. my account on the Google hub max is my phone number. Is there a workaround for this?

I checked with Verizon and they said that if it doesn’t go to voicemail, it should work. The Google hub rings and rings and rings and rings, and nothing comes up on my phone.
