Casting anything to speakers is terrible now

I cannot cast anything from my Google pixel phone to the speakers without it cutting in and out every 3 or 4 seconds. I have reset devices, I have reset Wi-Fis, I have tried just one speaker, I have tried a group of speakers, I have changed the groups of speakers. Nothing works. The music constantly cuts out for about 3 or 4 seconds after playing for 3 to 4 seconds. This Gemini upgrade from the original Google Assistant is absolutely terrible. In addition, it needs 10 seconds or so to respond to simple " what's the weather today Questions?"

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting the community! I understand that you are having issues when casting from your Google Pixel to your speakers, with the audio cutting out every few seconds despite your extensive troubleshooting. I know how frustrating it can be when the Gemini upgrade from the original Google Assistant does not work as expected. I appreciate you sharing the details of the troubleshooting steps you’ve already taken, such as restarting your Wi-Fi, rebooting the devices, and testing them both individually and simultaneously. Please don’t worry, I am more than happy to help you!

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  • When did the issue start?
  • Do you have Google nest speakers or what brand those are?
  • If yes, what are the specific models of your Google Home speakers? You can find more information in this article regarding Google smart speakers and displays.
  • Have the speakers worked properly before the issue appeared?
  • Which app is being used to play music?
  • Has another music app been tested?
  • Are you able to play the same music on another device without any issues?
  • Were any changes made to the network or any electronic devices placed near the Google Nest speaker?

If you have more related information, feel free to let me know.

Regards,

Dominic
