Change Verbal notifications to a chime (instead of google repeating command)

I just had some can lights Installed in both my living room and in my kitchen and I’m using TP Kasa which is one of the light manufacturers that works with Google. Everything is working fabulously however when I have Google control the lights in the kitchen it follows my command with a CHIME but when I give it the same command for the living room lights it follows my command WITHA VOICE  by repeating “Got it! turning living room lights on/off/ dim”.

I’m not sure how after looking online and in the Google Home app why this is happening and how to get the living room lights to respond to my commands with a chime instead of Google talking back to me!

This is a very common feature request so I do hope the Google devs are listening and reading these forums.  Google home devices will respond with a verbal response when the light in question is in a different room in the Google home app then the Google speaker that you're speaking to.  So for example if you're in your kitchen and you're telling your Google speaker in your kitchen to turn on or off your kitchen lights then it should just chime, but if you were in your kitchen asking to turn off your bedroom lights it'll have a verbal response.  The only work around at this point is to put everything in one room which obviously does defeat the purpose of the smart home setup.

Good explanantion!  Thanks!  Its weird becaiuse my kitchen and LR are so close together and im using the same speaker for both rooms....But I guess I get it....if the room is different tnan the one with the speaker then a verbal que is iniitiated....I wish in the future you could just set a "reply with" button that would allow chime vs verbal versus no sound.   Cheers
