Change in functionality

For at least the last year I have been happily playing the radio on my hub max at the same time as displaying my photo frame. Now you seem to be able to either have one or the other, but not both. I used to get the radio playing then swipe right to display the photo frame and the radio would continue to play, now it just stops as soon as you swipe right. Anybody know what I am doing wrong?
