I have been trying to change the name for both my Google home and Google mini, but every time I save the name, it does not update the old name and it always goes back to the previous name. I tried rebooting the systems and linking and unlinking the devices again. It does not seem to work either way. Does that happen to anyone else?

I'm also having this issue and I can't seem to find a resolution anywhere. Did you manage to get an answer anywhere?

Sorry to hear about this. Could anyone here confirm if the Home app is updated? Let's make sure that the app is up to date by uninstalling and reinstalling back the Home app.
If you don't see any improvement, you can proceed on performing a complete reset to your Google Home speakers and let's see if that would fix the issue.

Thanks for the update. To confirm, have you tried using a different phone or tablet? What is the current version of the Google Home app installed on your phone? Also, please let us know the make and model of your phone.
