In Chihuahua México, the government changed the time zone from MST to CST on Oct 30th. Google home keeps using the wrong time zone, messing up with the calendar and the google home devices!
Chihuahua is using the CST time zone. Is there a way to change it? The Google Home app has the correct address, but the home devices still use the old time zone.

Why in the **bleep** would you close a. Open thread without a solution and open a new one. Makes no sense. Just leave it open until you fix it

this is still fresh and not resolved

Google has errors in its address database, where it has incorrect timezones assigned to some customers. The customer has no way of fixing it. Google Nest has NO process for correcting those errors. In fact, it seems Google Nest does not even what to acknowledge those errors even exist. If you lock this thread, you're saying Google Nest does not even want to hear the problem or have it discussed.

We are still getting the wrong time zone! Does anyone know what else to do? I'm about to shut down my Nest Hub and get an Echo Show, not even kidding 😤

Hey claudiatovarl,
Sorry to hear that. Have you tried removing and re-adding your device address on the Google Home app? Could you tell us what country you are located in? Also, I just want to confirm if you're having the same issue when asking the Google Assistant app on your phone?
Cheers,
Muddi

Now we have the same problem on Mexico City !!!

Yes, google didn't fix it. And now that we no longer have the daylight change, they still have the settings enabled. So, yesterday you started with this issue, and it looks like we will have the correct time for the next six months....shame on you, Google team!!

Hello everyone,
Adding info on the Mexico time issue, since October our federal government cancelled the light saving time from now on. I live in SLP (central México) and I hadn't any problem in the October time change but this past weekend (April 2) all my Google devices made the change, it was easy to fix it in my Android phone, also in my Chromecasts and Chromebook bit it has been impossible in my Nest Hubs, any update on this matter?

Exact same thing here in Guadalajara, Jalisco. It's only been a problem since April 2. That's the date when we would have jumped forward an hour were it not for the removal of Daylight Savings Time.
p.s. and do not ask me to fill out a form. See Google's take on toil for more info.

Hi everyone ,
I recently moved to Mexico to be more specific to Veracruz and I've been having the same problem I can't change the time zone of my device and currently my device is showing one hour more than its supposed to be. I have to say that is annoying because i already tried to reset my device multiple times and I already tried many of the suggestions that are in this thread but nothing have worked for me. Please let me know what else I can do.

05-31-2023 01:07 AM
