Chromecast (with Google TV): "Can't play Netflix on Android TV yet"

So I just replaced my old Google Chromecast Ultra in favor of the new white Chromecast with Google TV and the small remote.

With the old Chromecast, I could seamlessly cast stuff from my Google Nest Hub, but with this new one it keeps telling I cannot because “Netflix is not on Android TV yet”. The weird thing is that Spotify and YouTube does work, it seems an issue just for Netflix.

It just sounds like such a ridiculous error because the Chromecast has nothing to do with Android TV?

I also cannot seem to control the volume anymore, normally I could lower / higher the volume via my Google Home (not the actual volume of the TV, but just of the Chromecast)

All in all, it seems the new Chromecast is not getting off to a smooth start here, not sure if anyone else had any issues and if they were fixed?

I really like the remote and the Google TV OS but the whole integration from my Nest Hub really seems worse than with the old Chromecast.

Could you please tell us what commands do you use when you try to cast contents from Netflix as well as Spotify and YouTube?

Hey, yeah sure!

For Spotify I could do something like "Ok Google, Play my favorite music" or "Ok Google, Play <Artist>".
This then always works fine.

For Netflix, I would do something like "Ok Google, Play Seinfeld" or "Ok Google, Play Breaking Bad" and it will give me the aforementioned error.

I already logged out and into my account again in the Google Home app and that also didn't solve the issue.

I have the Chromecast w/ Google for a week now and the problem still persists.

Yes, I mentioned that before already and I did that already. It did not help.

Sure! I have an LG OLED B9 55"

As mentioned before. This whole workflow worked perfectly with my Chromecast Ultra! It's just the Google TV variant that seems to be broken.

Hey, yes I did, sorry for not responding.

After multiple resets, unlink, relinking of Netflix, I gave up and returned the white Google Chromecast. 

I will use my old Chromecast Ultra again, which still works fine with "Ok Google, Play XYZ on Netflix".
