I can not turn on or off the lights by voice commandos.
The assistant replies " It seems to be a problem, try again later"
The lights working just fine when i turn on and off them from the Home App, so they are connected to my home but wont react on the voice commandos....
Any solutions?

I have the exact same problem.

Ok, wondering if there is an update that has made it not work? Anyone else having problems?

Sounds like a Wi-Fi issue with the speaker.
Have you tried tuning the speaker off for a couple of minutes?
In my case the speaker works otherwise, for example I can ask it to play music from Spotify without any problems. We have several speakers and they all give the same answer just when I ask them to turn the lights on or off, an error has occurred... It worked without any problems yesterday.

I've got the same issue. The problem seems to be with commands in Swedish for me, it can turn off the lights but not turn them on. However, if I use English for the commands it seems to work like usual.

Thanks, same here, when I tested with English it worked!

I use lights on and lights off.
It works for me, but not every
time for my son.

"Sätt på" och "Stäng av" verkar fungera för mig. Iallafall för tillfället...

Fungerar med de kommandona här också.

Det verkar som alla svenska kommandon till enheten fungerar, UTOM de anrop som gäller t ex lampor. Dvs, jag kan be den sätta på P1, starta Spotify, sänka/Höja volym etc. Men den begriper bara engelska när det gäller allt annat. Google har svarat mig att de är medvetna om problemet och arbetar på att lösa det.

Hi
all of a sudden all of my google devices say, something went wrong when I say turn on the lights.
Everything else works. Turn of the lights, asking questions etc. But if I say activate the lights they turn on.
The only command it has stopped responding to is “turn on the lights”
I have googled it and tried everything I can think of and still the same. And it’s the same on all of my devices, I have 4 of them.
Im in Sweden and I use it in Swedish.
Anyone had the same issue? And solved it?
best Jörgen

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I understand you're experiencing issues with voice commands for your lights, specifically in Swedish, despite them functioning properly in the Google Home app. I also appreciate you trying the English language workaround. No worries, I'm here to help!
To continue investigating the case, please provide the following details:
I look forward to your response.

It started last week.
And all my Google home units are equally behaving.
I have 4 nest, 1 Google home, 4 google mini.
All units started misbehaving at the same time.
So I find it hard that all units got firmware update at the same time.
The all needs to get the command for s switch instead of light command.

Hi,
It started to be a problem for about three days ago.
I have 3 NEST MINI 2 GEN and 1 NEST HUB 2 GEN
It works fine when asking questions or telling it to play music and so on.
I normaly use the phrase " Tänd " for lights on and " Släck " for lights off but these phrases doesnt work anymore. ( Sometimes " Släck " has been working, but not all the time )
I have Philips WIZ and Lidl:s brand Livorno Home lamps.
Kind regards

Hi!
I am using Swedish to Communicate with the device. Up until about a week ago, not sure of the exact date. But it worked and the next morning it didn’t. I can communicate with the device and get it to turn on radio, change screen, volume up and down and all of the other things that stay in the device or remote servers, but not my lamps.
It is a Google Nest hub, gen 1.
firmware:
26.20250116.103.2900
IKEA lamps (a year or so old, some newer) and the mandatory Ikea bridge. It is all working fine with Siri on iOS-devices in Swedish and with english commands to the Nest hub.
I have tried all kinds of Swedish commands, but usually just ”tänd -this and that- lamp” and ”släck -this and that-lamp”.
Before this occured I could use whatever Swedish commands I wanted, really. The Nest is clever and adapt very quickly if I suddenly said: ”Hey Google, get some light in the Kitchen!” (In swedish: ”Hej Google, sätt på lite ljus i köket!)
And, again, the thing works just fine when I use english…

Hi there,
Thanks for your reply and the information you shared! This is really helpful and will definitely move us forward with the case. To better isolate the issue, please try this workaround:
You can follow these same steps to create a separate routine for turning off your lights too!
Please let me know how it works.
Best regards,
Jenniffer
