I bought 2 nest mini devices for my 2 kids (both <13 years old). The concept is to have each one of them the device in their rooms and apart from all the interaction with the nest mini to listen also music from their you tube premium accounts. Now, both of them have google accounts with supervisions from family link due to their age. I have tried so far to connect the devices with their accounts but I realized that they cannot use the google home app with their accounts. so both devices were connected through my account. Now I am trying to connect each nest mini with my kids' youtube premium accounts and I just can't. I am trying through my phone to add their google profiles but due to restrictions from family link i cannot have all the accounts in the same device, therefore when i am selecting each device sees only my account and cannot do anything else. I tried one workaround to create in a tablet a user with google account of my son and through the google home app to connect the nest mini and so on but again google home app does not let a minor to use it. Has anyone dealt with this issue? Is there any solution to this connectivity problem?

Hi kapas681,
Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand you've purchased two Google Nest Mini (2nd gen) for your children, who are both under 13 and have Google accounts managed with Family Link. Your goal is for each child to be able to listen to music from their individual YouTube Premium accounts on their respective Google Nest Mini (2nd gen) in their rooms. Currently, both Google Nest Mini (2nd gen) are connected through your Google account because your children cannot directly use the Google Home app due to their age and Family Link restrictions. You've tried some troubleshooting steps, like trying to set up the devices through a separate tablet user with your son's account, but the Google Home app still doesn't allow minor accounts to be used. I know how difficult it is when some devices don't work as expected. Let's work together to find a solution!
Please keep me posted. I look forward to your response.
Best regards,
Juan
