Deletion of video calling

I have just heard that google meet will be deleted from google hubs. This is upsetting as it was an easy way for me to contact my 91 years old mother. Is it being replaced with a simpler/alternative solution? 
I bought three of these items because of the video calling feature. 
Doesn’t seem fair to delete this.

• Alternative Video Calling Platforms: Explore other video calling platforms that work on Nest Hubs or other devices you both own. Popular options include Skype or Messenger with video chat.
• Alternative Devices with Google Meet: If Google Meet is essential, consider using a different device like a laptop or smartphone for video calls with your mother.

It's definitely a situation that requires some adaptation. Hopefully, Duo offers a good alternative, but don't hesitate to explore other options if needed.

Thank you for the reply- I didn’t realise that you could put messenger on the hub- then I simply say phone mother on messenger? I shall see if I can find a link to add it. Cheers
