Device won't connect

I've had this home mini for 5 years and it has always worked fine. One day a few weeks ago it randomly disconnected from the wifi and now I can't reconnect it. I've reset the router, my phone, and the device. I get through the setup until it goes to connect to the wifi and then I get a pop up telling me there is a connection issue. It's never had issues before. I have it set up 5 feet from the wifi router so it shouldn't have any connection issues. I also have a 3rd gen mini in the living room that works just fine.

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that your Nest Mini does not connect to Wi-Fi. I know this can be frustrating. No worries, I am here to help! Before I can assist you further, I need to ask some questions to better understand your situation.

 

  1. How long did the device work before the connectivity issue started? 
  2. How did you discover the connectivity issue? Did the device give an audible error like I can't reach the internet right now. Check your modem or router connection and try again or I can't connect to the Wi-Fi network. You might want to check the connection settings in the Google Home app? If the device gave a different error message, please let me know.
  3.  Did the device eventually start to work again?
