Doesn't still working speaker group with android tv

Hi to all,

I doesn't still working speaker group with my Android TV

I have 4 devices, 3 without problem: 

  • Google home app is: 2.42.120 (running on iPhone)
  • 2 Google home speaker (nest mini) is:
    • PreviewProgram: on (waiting for next preview update)
    • System firmware version: 264660
    • Cast firmware version: 1.56.264660
    • Country Code: US/PE
  • Chromecast 3º generation is:
    • Preview Program: on (264660)
    • Cast firmware version: 1.56.264660
    • Country Code: PE
  • Android TV with chromcast built-in TV is [This device doesn't appear in Speaker Group]:
    • System firmware version: PTT1.190515.001.S104
    • Cast firmware version: 1.52.253741
    • Brand: Sony Model: Bravia

I have the same problem with my Sony A80j

Hey there JoseLuis10,

I apologize about the late response on this, thank you for being patient! I've been noticing this issue has been a bit more common, would you be able to submit feedback via Google Home with logs enabled? If you have already done this before, no need to worry about it! Chromecast built-in should be compatible with speaker groups, however, since it is an open-source software, it sometimes doesn't play nice with Google Home.

This is my google TV (Sony), in the device feature section, doesn’t  appear “audio” option:

In Chromecast, you can see “audio” option for the Device Feature section. I think that, this is the problem, because inside “audio option” is group configuration:

I have the same issue, and just tried to submit feedback per the linked instructions. However, I don't have a send usage & crash reports to Google option on that page.

We have exactly the same issue. All other devices appear as available to join a group, EXCEPT the Sony Bravia A80J. Did you find a fix?

Same exact problem. Everything - even the oldest Chromecast and Google Home - is working fine, but the brand new supposed-to-be-great TV is useless.

I have the same problem, can't add my Sony Bravia to a speaker group and i can't control the TV via my Nest hub. It always replies that the TV is not responding. I hope this gets fixed soon.
