Don't have QR code to re-install mini dot to qa new wifi router

I have an older mini dot (grey on top, orange on bottom).  I moved and have a new wifii router.  I don't have the QR code and can't connect it.  There is a 9 digit number on bottom (serial #?).  I did factory re-set button.  Was able to connect nest hub without a problem.

Hi kwoodby2,

Thanks for posting — let's get this sorted.

I’d like to dig deeper into this. A few things: what's the message that you're getting? When you reset the device, did you hear it chime? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Home app?

Let's connect to your Google Home Mini’s hotspot from your phone's Wi-Fi settings. Here are the steps:

  1. On the mobile device, go to Settings and then Wi-Fi
  2. Open the list of available Wi-Fi networks and look for an available network with the name GoogleHomeMiniXXXX (where XXXX is a random number).
  3. If connecting to your device’s hotspot is successful, go back to the Google Home app and try to set it up again. Note: If you did not reset the speaker correctly, its previous device name will show up in the list instead.

You can go through this article for additional troubleshooting steps.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Lovely
