I have several Google Display Devices. I also have a couple Nest Minis. I have gone through and set up downtime for everyone and I have set up parental controls to prevent my daughter from accessing smart devices at night. I have also disabled video playback for everyone and all the smart devices because my kids will just sit there and play videos all day on the devices. Unfortunately, even though my daughter's profile says that she has a down time and that she is not allowed to access videos, she can play whatever she wants whenever she wants. The system does show her initial on the screen when she speaks to the display. When down time is on my husband can still have access to everything and I cannot but my daughter can and my son can't. So downtime only affects myself and my son. It would be nice if downtime only affected my children. My daughter is under 13 and my son is over 13. Again it's my daughter who can access everything but the system lets me block my son. No one but my daughter can play videos even though the default settings is no one can play videos and they are blocked through parental controls. This is excessively frustrating and I don't know what to do about it.

Hi BobsMom,
Thanks for reaching out to our community.
I’m sorry to hear that the downtime filters that you set up on your Google Display devices do not affect your daughter’s profile, even though you have set up downtime for everyone and set up parental controls to prevent your kids from accessing smart devices at night. Thank you for letting us know important details about the experience that you’re going through with every member of your family after setting the downtime filters. No worries, help is here.
Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:
Thanks for your kind attention; I will be looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Virna
