Equalizer problem Nest Audio

Hi! When I have adjusted the Treble and Bass on my Nest Audio speaker it sounds fine. But if I paus or change track on my Spotify it changes back the treble and bass. When I then go in to the menu again the settings looks okay but I have to drag one of the controls (for example the treble) back and forward and the sound changes back to the settings that already are set. Any tips  to make the sound settings stay the same?

Hi Muddi,

I have many devices and a display. Only the nest audio has this issue.

I'm happy to confirm that the issue about the equalizer on Nest Audio has now been resolved. If you're still experiencing issues, please try rebooting your device to refresh all the settings. If it's still the same, please update this thread and let us know.

Hi Palmss972,

 

Thanks for the update. Let's go ahead and reset your device. Follow the steps below to know-how:

 

  • On the back of your device, switch the mic off. The lights will turn orange. Press and hold the center of the Nest Audio, near the top. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more, until a sound confirms that the device is resetting.

Done, but I still have the problem. Every time I change songs i have to re-adjust the equalizer

Hi Muddi, 

Can you please confirm which version of Firmware has fixed the issue? I have done a factory reset on my device as per your instructions, but it has not resolved the issue.

Issue still exists after factory reset. Problem has not been resolved. 😞

Hi Muddi.

Still the same problem. Nothing has changed. I have just now reseted all of my 4 speakers and it did not help. I think it is strange that the speakers has the same Firmware for system and cast as before. Should it not come an update?

Can we please get some dates for the fix (2 weeks, 1 month, 1 year,  3years...?) The resolution is pending since Dec '22. Thx.

Asking the same! At least we would know if there’s a time pending, or else I could get rid off them ASAP…

I have exact same issue. Have to go into EQ each track to make it sound how it should. Never holds the setting on the next track. Done a factory reset and readded. Nothing helps. Not sure if it the home app or the speaker

I'm also experiencing the same equalizer issue with my three nest audios. They all sound great but the settings on the equalizer change back right after the next track.

Exactly the same here, Deezer, Spotify, YouTube... Any music streaming over WiFi or Bluetooth 😔😔😔

Ok I have factory reset, readded device. Same still happens. I notice a slight snap sound between track that seems to kick it back to default equalizer settings. I am on device preview, still on same as post earlier. Also on preview Home app. Seems like a firmware update is needed here 🙂 Any help am glad to give. Is just driving me nuts each track having to toggle to get the best sound 😛

Not sure why more people aren't complaining or they just don't realise lol I love my sound when it stays 😎

I am also having problems with the Google Nest Audio equalizer. When track advancing, the settings are reset to default.
Yesterday my speaker updated to firmware version 1.56.348702, but the problem is not resolved.
I've done a factory reset, created another home, reconfigured countless times, and no solution.
I await a return.

Soon meaning more or less than 2 weeks? 🙂

I mean, really, if we have a rough estimate of when the updates will be rolled out, please share. Thank you!

Is there a defined timeline for this fix?

Updated both nest audios to 348702 (stereo pair), done a factory reset to both.

Still the problem is there. Equalizer resets in each track change

My Nest Audio speakers present the same issue after updating the firmware to version 1.56.348702. Equalizer resets to default every time the song changes. I would have to tweak the bass or treble for EQ to be activated again.
Annoying 😞

Please, any solution soon??

Same  problem here in the Netherlands. The equalizer is still having issues with EQ not holding on track change or skips. Every startupp thuis happens. The setting stay the same, but the equalizer does't. System: 348702 Cast:1.56.348702

Guys!!!! Looks like they have finally updated the firmware, and the problem is now solved!!! Latest: 1.56.356012

I had to recreate my stereo pair, then it worked!! Thank you!!

 

That exact same firmware version.  

It's solved! Only next problem.. My next keeps making a "tikking" sound. Not constantly but every few minuten?

How do you get the fix? Reboot it?

My stereo pair updated themselves somehow, and I tested the EQ they actually stay the same now. I guess you could try reboot and reset the speaker. Good luck!

for my stereo pair, rebooting didn’t solve it. I had to separate them and recreate the stereo pair. 

Yes, I had to do the same.

After doing a factory reset and setup enabling preview and hour later the firmware updated. Now working fine 😃
