Hello all,

I went to re-establish my Google nest, and my ex-wife‘s photos, are appearing as an option for my display. I would like to remove her from the system. Not cool to have somebody else’s photos in my stream.

thx

Hi Bobxholt,

Thanks for reaching out.

If you want to remove photos from your Google Nest display, you may follow these steps:

  1. On your computer, go to https://goo.gle/2Tp6dIH.
  2. Point at the item you want to delete. At the top left, click Select Select.
  3. At the top right, click Delete Delete and then Move to trash.

Tip: If you backed up your photo or video before you delete it, it will stay in your trash for 60 days.

To permanently delete photos and videos:

  1. On your computer, go to https://goo.gle/2Tp6dIH.
  2. Point at the item you want to permanently delete. At the top left, click Select Select.
  3. At the top right, click Delete permanently and then Delete.

Important: If you back up photos and videos to Google Photos on a mobile device, when you delete them from the Google Photos app, they’re also deleted from your device. Learn how to remove backed up photos and videos from Google Photos but not your device.

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app Photos.
  2. Sign in to your Google Account.
  3. Tap and hold a photo or video you want to move to the trash. You can select multiple items.
  4. At the top, tap Delete Delete.

Tip: Some photos save space when deleted. If you delete a photo that saves storage space in your Google Account, you may get an estimate of the recovered storage.

Learn what happens to photos you've deleted

  • If you delete a photo or video that’s backed up in Google Photos, it will stay in your trash for 60 days.
  • If you delete an item from your Android 11 and up device without it being backed up, it will stay in your trash for 30 days.
  • If you see a photo or video in Google Photos that you think you deleted, it might be on a removable memory card. To delete it, use your device’s gallery app.

Hope this helps.

clarification-I am trying to remove her stream of current photos from the next. She is showing up as an account where I can stream photos.

Hello Bobxholt,

Apologies for the delayed response. You can go straight to https://goo.gle/2Tp6dIH or Google Photos app and remove any unwanted pictures there. Make sure to use the same account as your Google Home.
