Find my phone tells me my phone number!

Just tried to find my phone via my Google speakers, which usually then plays a loud noise on my phone so I can find it. Tried it just now and all that happens is Google Assistant quotes my phone number at me!

I finally found my phone without any help from Google, and checked all the settings and it's all setup still as it should be.

Is this a bug with some software somewhere or has something gone wrong?

Could you tell me the exact commands that you have tried? Also, what phone are you using? Is it an Android or iOS device? Let's go ahead and check these settings to see what we have missed.

Thanks for the response, I'm using a Samsung S21 Ultra and was trying to find it with any Google Nest device but all would just respond by telling me my phone number rather than making my phone ring.

All sorted now though, seemed to correct itself somehow.

Hi, sorry for not replying sooner. It just corrected itself eventually, it now actually makes my phone ring so I can find it rather than just telling me my phone number.

Worked fine on my wife's phone and still does.
