Frequent disconnection of Nest home mini

I have bought Nest Home Mini and it keeps on disconnecting very frequently, I have tried plugging out and plugging in, reseted it as well. But still the issue persists. Some help would be appriciated.

Same here, it's been like that for months.

Splitting 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wifi didn't help.

The Nest Mini is pretty close from the router so it's not a bad signal issue.

I also have 2 google home first generation that never had this issue, I should have bought the cheapest old model instead of that useless speaker. (Bluetooth still works well with my computer when it looses wifi)

I have the same problem. It's only started to happen over the last week. The mini is right next to the router so wifi signal is not an issue. Disconnection usually happens overnight and the mini needs to be restarted to reconnect to the wifi.

First, I appreciate all of you trying a variety of troubleshooting steps.

  • Is this issue still occurring?
  • Is your device showing up as connected in the Google Home App?
  • Are you seeing any error messages? On the device itself or the Google Home App?
  • Could you please try to reboot your router as well?

Hi, My Nest Mini is no longer disconnecting and seems to be working fine now. The problem happened overnight for about a week then everything went back to normal.

I couldn't tell if it's working again, it's sitting in its box and it was waiting to be sold as a not smart speaker.

I'll try one last time to plug it back in, but it has been doing it for months.

When that happened it was still in the Google home app but I couldn't go to its settings saying it's not on the network anymore. It was showing the "do you want to setup home mini" banner on too of the app like it was never set up. I would follow the process to add it and it would work for a day or so.

If that happens again I'll make sure to post a screenshot here if possible.
