From YTmusic there is no option to cast to my speaker group

I used to happily cast music from YTmusic to my Google speaker group but I don't find that option anymore. I can still cast to individual speakers but casting to a group of speakers is not possible anymore. I have tried switching Wifi from 5Ghz to 2.4Ghz but did not help. Is this feature not available anymore.

If we can cast to only 1 speaker at a time then there is no use to buy so many  Google Speakers

Hey NishD,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

I know how challenging it is when somethings not working on your Google Home/Nest devices. A few questions: when did the issue start? Are you able to cast from other music services to your audio group? Is it happening to all songs? Have you tried another phone/tablet? Also, please list down all the devices included in the speaker group.

Looking forward to your response.

Cheers,

Muddi

Hello Muddi, Apologies for the late reply. This problem existing with all casting apps. However if I switch off my router and modem and then restart then it starts recognizing the speaker group. However in few days the problem returns. Is there an easier way that I do not need to restart my modem and router to fix the problem?

Hi NishD,

Thanks for the update. It looks like there's an issue with your device's connection. Let's make sure that all your speakers are connected to to the same Wi-Fi network and set up in the same home structure so they can communicate well with each speakers.

Lastly, rebooting your router would help eliminate the congestion on the network. That way, we can make sure that the speakers are getting a good Wi-Fi connection.

Best,

Princess
