Frozen stories gone?

It seems as though the Frozen stories told by Google (used to be able to say "hey Google, tell me a Frozen story") now it just says it doesn't understand. Has this been discontinued or is it an error specific to me?

Hey Pixel_Mike,

Welcome to the Google Nest Community Forum.

This Action has been retired and is no longer playable on Google Assistant. Although the decision was difficult to make, this allows us and our partners to focus on building new and more engaging experiences.

Thank you for your understanding, and thank you for sharing these adventures with us.

Cheers,

Muddi

Bring back Disney stories or ay least something comparable in content. There is no way that removing it really allowed you to bring/create better engaging content. So many parents myself included have been negatively affected by the fact that these were removed with no warning.

Hey folks,

We appreciate all your feedback and rest assured that I'll pass it along to the team. Your kids still enjoy hearing stories on Google Home/Nest speakers by saying, "Hey Google, tell me a story."

I've tried them, my Disney obsessed preschooler did not approve. Very disappointed that you got rid of Frozen Stories and Disney Princess with no better alternatives for little ones.

Hey Mamabear086,

We understand how you feel. We take feedback seriously and will forward this to the team. As an alternative, you could try the "Read along with Disney" feature. Visit this link to learn more.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Muddi

Honestly I would hesitate to try the read along with Disney option. I’ve gotten my kids hooked on it and google massively cut the number of titles that it worked with last year. This is becoming a pretty concerning pattern. It’s one thing to take away features aimed at adults, it’s another one when it’s aimed at kids. And we don’t even get honest answers for it… just PR sentiments about how keeping features that our kids already love would prevent them from “building new and engaging experiences”.

in short, I really enjoyed read along with Disney and “frozen stories” while they lasted, but I won’t invest any more of my kids’ emotional energy into products that google will remove without any notice or valid explanation.

Why would you lock this thread? It's obviously still creating conversations and awareness. If you're annoyed or frustrated by the amount of activity on it then take it as a sign to bring back the features being discussed. Ignoring the problem and silencing the people who have opinions is no way to solve it, or instill confidence that anything is even remotely being done about it.

The stories brought up when you say "hey Google, tell me a story" are generally full of very rude characters and some of them have scary themes. They are not appropriate for all ages, like the Frozen stories were.
