Hi amitsharma280,

Thanks for reaching out.

Could you please tell us if this is the first time that you will set up your Google Home Mini? What prompts or message are you getting?

I'd love to know more details on it so we can start some troubleshooting steps that might resolve this.

Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Princess

I am also having this issue.  I just bought one for my son (second hand) for his birthday and trying to connect I am getting a message that it cannot communicate with the mini.  then after I say try again I get a message that it is going back to connecting to my wifi (?). I have not had issues with set up of my other devices (home, hub, other mini)

Hi Laura,

Thanks for responding.

Could you please list down all the Google speakers set up on your network? Also, do you get any error message or prompt when you attempt to set it up?

Let's make sure that when you set it up, device is within a good range from the router, preferably within 10-15 feet. As soon as you're done setting it up, then you can move the speakers on your preferred location.

Let me know how it goes.

Princess

Step 1. Reboot speaker or display
Disconnect the power cable from your speaker or display.
Reconnect power cable back into your speaker or display.
Step 2. Force close and reopen the Google Home app
Step 3. Try to manually connect to the device's hotspot from your phone or tablet’s Wi-Fi settings
Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your mobile device.
Open the list of available WiFi networks and look for an available network with the name “GoogleHomeXXXX" (where XXXX is a random number).
If you can successfully connect to the speaker or display's SSID in your WiFi settings, open the Google Home app and try to set up the device.

This May Help,
Peter
