Get Google Nest Hub to pause indefinitely

Sharcs

I have a Google Nest Hub that I use in my kitchen. I mostly use it to play Youtube videos while doing chores and cooking in the kitchen.

Sometimes I might need to go somewhere else in the house so I tell it to pause. The problem is, if I leave it on pause for around 5 - 10 minutes, it forgets. When I ask it to resume after that, it tells me there is nothing to resume.

I can understand the pause timer if it was running on battery, but it's hooked up to the mains.

Is there a way of getting this thing to pause indefinitely?

Thank you.

Hello Sharcs,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

I appreciate all the details you've shared. As we tried to do the same on our end, we've observed within 1-2 minutes, your music will most likely resume once you paused it. If it exceeds within 5 minutes, your Google Nest speaker won't be able to remember the last song you've played as 5 minutes will put the Google Nest display on idle.

Let's try to play music, pause it and resume within 1-2 minutes to see if you will still experience the same thing.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Princess
