I currently have a YT music Premium subscription (until the end of the month anyway)
My issue is YT music plays video ads between almost every song on the Nest.
It also does it on the app, but this can be "fixed" by logging out and back in.
I have spoke to Google 4 times
The YT app people say I need to speak to the Nest People
The Nest people say I need to speak to the YT app people.
This is fun.
So, as it stands, I'm about to go back to Spotify, which works perfectly, while Google's solution (which I switched to to get the most out of the ecosystem) does not.
Any ideas?
please don't tell me to switch it off and on | to check it's the right account etc.

Hi CDB1,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand that when you use YouTube Music, it shows adds even though you have a subscription. I'm happy to assist you! Before we continue, I need to ask some questions to better understand the situation.
What troubleshooting steps have you tried?
Is YouTube Music set as the default music service in the Google Home app? You can check by visiting " your music services and set your default service" to verify.
What Google Nest speaker or display do you have?
Have you checked if you are using the same account linked to your YouTube Music and the Google Home app?
I will be awaiting your response.
Regards,
Manuel

So straight to the turn on off and on questions..
I have called you 4 times as I said and been through all of these steps multiple times.
Settings in app are correct
Yes it's the same account
When it does it on phone logging out and back in fixes it. Not an option on device
As I said my nest max is playing video ads between songs... So yes it has a display.
I was trying to move from Alexa to Google, but it's hard to justify a change of all my devices.
Subscription ends 18th March.

Ugh, that sounds incredibly frustrating! You pay for YT Music Premium, expecting an ad-free experience, and instead, you get bombarded with video ads on your Nest? That’s beyond annoying—especially when you’re being bounced between support teams like a game of hot potato.
Honestly, Spotify Premium has never given me this kind of headache. It just works. No weird account glitches, no video ads sneaking in where they shouldn’t be. If Google can’t get its act together, I wouldn’t blame you for switching back. Hopefully, they fix this mess soon, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
