Google Assistant doesn't follow verbal commands

The google assistant on my home max speaker only responds with "there was a glitch, try again in a few seconds" or "sorry something went wrong try again in a few seconds." I've done multiple reboots, factory reset's and removed and added it from the Google Home app. I can stream music from my Tidal account but can't control smart devices with verbal commands or ask questions. My other two Google Home speakers work fine.

If your Google Assistant doesn't work or respond to “Hey Google” on your Android device, make sure Google Assistant, Hey Google and Voice Match are turned on: On your Android phone or tablet, go to Assistant settings, or open the Google Assistant app. and say, “Assistant settings.”

Greetings,
Will

Hi folks,

@WillJoe123, thanks for the help.

@Friendly, @TexHanlon, that certainly hasn't been easy for you ― since doing the factory reset didn't work, let's try a basic approach by doing a sequential reboot. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speaker. Restarting your phone might also help. Check if you can still stream via phone to your Nest speaker and also try to give voice commands. Try asking about the weather and other simple commands.

If the issue persists, do a factory reset one more time, but this time around, before you set it up, go first to your phone's Wi-Fi settings and connect directly to your Nest speaker's hotspot. Go back to your Google Home app and proceed with the set up.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Dan

THE LATEST....   i am a starlink user.  I put my starlink router in bypass mode and used my own router system and the problem dissappeared.  it seems to have started at the same time as the latest firmware update to the starlink router.  anyway there you have it.        Thanks to all for your courtesy.
