Google Assistant is not finding/playing my personal playlists

[I originally posted this in Google Nest community and they suggested I post it on Google Assistant support]
[They said post it here]

Since YT Music (I'm a premium member) can't put a track on repeat while casting...

... so I had to make several almost-identical hour-long tracks of my waves and rain and upload them into one 8hr long playlist I called 'Wallace loop'.

When I manually play this playlist in YT Music it does as expected... so far so good.

Hen I cast it to a chromecast device it also plays fine... so far so good.

I have a routing that runs in the morning that slowly reduces the volume, stops casting and then rests the volume ready for next time.... So far so good again.

Now I want to have a routing that starts my playlist so I try variations on this:

'Play my playlist called "Wallace loop" on the bedroom speaker'

And the response is something like:

'Alright, here's a YouTube Music playlist called wallis et futuna, Playing on Bedroom speaker...  Sorry, something went wrong. When your ready, give it another try.'

No matter what I name my playlist it always finds some random playlist and not my own, then it has an error trying to play whatever it found.

I see several recent references to the happy fact that Google Assistant can now play YT music personal playlists but I can't work out what I am doing wrong to get mine to play.
  • Is it because my playlist contains tracks I have uploaded?
  • Or because I'm in Australia and the feature I want has not been rolled out here yet?
  • Or maybe I'm just not giving the right command?

This is really frustrating as it all worked perfectly in Google Play Music

Thanks

Same issue here. Google seems to just find some random playlist to play instead of personal lists that we’ve created. Amazon eco was much better in that space. Too bad Amazon does not work with YouTube music.  Nest is completely useless in my home.
