So, a few days ago, it was weird.  I work for a company where we use Gmail for our email system.  Our email was down for personal devices.  The issue with this hub started the exact same time.  Weird coincidence.  But, the google issue at work is fixed and my home hub isn't working still.

Another thing to add to the story, that morning, my kids were home.  I didn't want them watching TV.  So, I went into the router and blocked the AT&T TV boxes from connecting to WiFi.

So, I just chatted with Google support and went through some troubleshooting steps.  I reset the hub many times and tried to start the setup over.  I tried setting it up on my phone using the home app and then I tried it on my tablet with the home app.  Both ways state the WiFi password is wrong.  It's using the saved password that my phone and tablet are successfully connected to the WiFi with.  I do not have MAC address filtering turned on.

So, what I just did was I turned on the WiFi hotspot on my phone and then used my tablet.  I connected the tablet to the phone hotspot and then attempted to setup the home hub to the hotspot instead.  Same error.  So, that rules out my home internet causing the issue.  Any ideas?  I have a hard time the Hub is just dead.  It all started on a day at the exact same time that we had the Google Gmail outage at work and when I blocked the WiFi for the AT&T boxes.

But, I can't see how anything on my home router could be the issue since I can't set it up using my Verizon hotspot.

Google support says it's defective and out of warranty.  But it's dead.  I have a hard time believing that since the problem started the day we had a massive google outage at work and I disabled the WiFi for the at&t boxes.
